2012 law Enforcement Memorial Ru

Information

"Heros run toward danger while others run away. They risk their lives so that others might live. They preserve our freedom and way of life today, just as they have for over 200 years".
-John Walsh

This year marks a milestone! We have hit our 5th year anniversary of the Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Run (L.E.M.R.). This event is the only race in Knoxville, TN that raises awareness of Police Week (May 13-19, 2012). This race honors all Law Enforcement Officers in the Knoxville - Knox County area and surrounding counties who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line ofduty and those working on the frontline every day. The race is open to all participants, not just those working in law enforcement. We encourage everyone in our community to attend.

The race will be professionally chip timed by Total Race Solutions and is a member race of the Run and See Tennessee Grand Prix Series. Runners earn points for participating in the series and placing in the top 10 of their age group for each race. More information on the Series can be found at www.tngrandprix.com

The proceeds of the LEMR will benefit the establishment of a local law enforcement memorial site in Knoxville.
